What are you doing now?

I am currently working in a Payroll for NSW Health and have been here for 5 years, I live in Newcastle independently with no children or partner.

What do you remember about Hunter Life Education & Healthy Harold?

I remember going on bus rides from School to visit Healthy Harold at the Hunter Life Education centre, being in a room that was really dark with stars on the roof and being shown the human anatomy, (a Manikin with removable organs) also being educated about our organs, circulation, nervous system. I was fascinated by the heart! I also remember being told which foods are healthy and what we should be eating to stay healthy. I remember being educated about the different food groups and keeping a good balance of all the different food groups as well as exercise.

What advice would you offer parents of Children today?

I would advise parents that this is a really fun, interactive and educational experience. Children are educated in a really fun environment and get to meet Healthy Harold! It’s really clever how the program educates children in lingo they understand whilst making them laugh and stay focused.
